Miele Cooktop error codes
A Miele Cooktop fault codes list includes:
Code FE37, FE44, or Error + 44
This is the overheating protection. The cooktop turns off automatically as a precaution. Let the cooktop cool off for a couple of minutes before you turn it back on. Do you see the error again? Unplug the connector from the socket and wait for 30 minutes. Plug the connector back into the socket and turn on the cooktop.
Code Err + 47/48/49, FE47, or FE48
This means an error or blockage of the fan. Check if there aren't any items stuck in the fan. You can find the fan on the bottom of the cooktop. Sometimes, it's covered or blocked by a product from the drawer underneath. Isn't this the case? Check if the cooktop has been built-in the correct way.
Code FE91, FE92, FE93, FE94, or Err + 30
When this error appears on the display, the cooktop isn't getting enough or getting too much voltage. In this case, the cooktop has been connected the wrong way. With a Perilex connector, it's important that the neutral wire and phase wire are connected the correct way. Doesn't the connector match with your socket? The cooktop won't receive the right amount of voltage. Always have a certified mechanic check the electric connectors.
Code FE + number of Err + number
An internal error has occurred. Disconnect the cooktop from the power grid by unplugging the connector. Wait for half an hour before you turn the power back on.
Code F
Error F means one or more buttons are covered with dirt or objects. First, check if you didn't leave a spatula on one of the buttons. Caked-on food rests or other dirt can also cause this error.
Malfunction LC or LOC
When you turn on the cooktop, does LC or LOC appear on the display right away? The child safety lock has been turned on. To use the cooktop, turn off the child safety lock. How you can do this differs per cooktop. Check the manual of your model to read how you can do this.
Malfunction dE
This isn't an error, but indicates that the cooktop has been set to demonstration mode. In the demonstration mode, dE will briefly appear on the display. In this mode, the cooking zones won't heat up. How to turn of the demonstration mode differs per cooktop. Check the manual of your model to read how to do this.
Flashing power level
When the power setting of a cooking zone is flashing, there's something wrong with the pan. There are various options. Check if the pan is placed on the cooking zone correctly. When it's not placed correctly, the cooktop doesn't always recognize the pan. The same holds for a small pan on a large cooking zone. The center point of the cooking zone needs to be covered.
